At Wallingford Garden Club, on Thursday 11th October at 7:30pm, Jamie Butterworth will be talking about Late Summer Flowering Perennials.
An avid plantsman, Jamie graduated from RHS Garden Wisley’s Diploma in Practical Horticulture with Distinction in 2015. He worked as joint Show Plant Manager at Hortus Loci, Hampshire, growing plants for a range of RHS Flower Shows. After becoming a finalist in the BBC’s Young Gardener of the Year at just 16 years old, Jamie went on to co-found YoungHort in 2013 to inspire more young people to choose gardening as a career. In his role as RHS Ambassador, Jamie is sharing his passion for horticulture and getting secondary school children involved in gardening.
The meeting venue is Ridgeway Community Church, Old Buildings off Wood Street OX10 0EW.
