If you walk past St Mary’s Church, Wallingford on a Tuesday evening you’ll hear some great singing as we rehearse! We’re delighted to stage our first full-scale concert since lockdown! It’s also the first outing of our new Musical Director David Wordsworth, who with a wealth of experience in conducting and music publishing, introduces Bob Chilcott’s Requiem (2010) to the choir. Former King’s Singer Chilcott is now one of Britain’s leading choral composers and the choir are really getting to grips with this new challenge. The programme is completed with Haydn’s sparkling Nelson Mass. Irish soprano Iǘnó Connolly heads an international quartet of soloists, and the Elgar Orchestra complete the scene. The performance takes place on Saturday 19 March at 7.30pm at Dorchester Abbey. Altogether, you’ll get something special!
