The Dorchester Bear Hunt

On The Facebook group, the idea of putting a bear in your window has taken off, with several houses around the village taking part.

This is done to help with the coming boredom of many children in the village.  It has spun off from the childrens book ‘We are going on a bear hunt’.

Below is a map that has been created, which I will try to keep updated as new houses get involved.

Best of luck to all you Dorchester adventurers.

Didcot and Surrounding Area Infrastructure Improvement Update

You may have seen in this week’s local press that Oxfordshire County Council has begun the consultation process for four schemes under the ‘Didcot and Surrounding Area Infrastructure Improvement’ heading. This package of infrastructure improvements in Didcot and the surrounding area has no direct impact upon our Parish but Dorchester residents will certainly notice the difference and may wish to comment.

The four schemes are:

  • A4130 widening
  • Science Bridge
  • Didcot to Culham River Crossing
  • Clifton Hampden Bypass

The four scheduled exhibitions have all been cancelled due to the present Public Health Emergency and so the consultation period is being conducted entirely on line. Please see www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/didcotupdate.

The consultation ends on 16 April 2020 at 11.59 p.m.

Best regards,
Geoff
