Umbel-ievable Umbels! Cow parsley and its relatives..
Marina says “umbels are a vast group of plants that create a froth of delicate flowers and foliage to suit many garden styles”. She will talk about their use in the ornamental garden using plant material as props. She will also bring some plants for sale.
Marina started Phoenix Perennial Plants in Hampshire in 2002. Her background is in ecology, and wildlife is her main consideration when selecting plants for the nursery. She is also an expert on propagation and supplies top garden designers with unusual plants for Chelsea Flower Show.
We are delighted that we have been able to rebook Marina this year after last year’s talk had to be cancelled.
Our membership includes keen amateur gardeners, professional horticulturalists and those who just enjoy beautiful plants and gardens. We organize talks in the winter and garden visits in the summer.
