How to be a 21st Century Gardener – Timothy Walker

Thursday 11th April at 7:30pm, at Ridgeway Community Centre, Old Buildings off Wood Street OX10 0EW.

We welcome Timothy back; he will be speaking on how the changes we are seeing in our weather and climate can impact us, then the many ways gardeners can reduce this impact on the world’s natural resources…… It’s much more than global warming and peat!

Timothy has held positions at Oxford Botanical Gardens, Saville Gardens, and Kew Garden he is a lecturer in Biological Sciences at the Department of Plant Sciences, University of Oxford. He has won four gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show. From 1988 – 2014 he was Horti Praefectus of the University of Oxford Botanical Garden and Harcourt Arboretum.

New members will be warmly welcomed; the annual subscription is £10.
