Isambard Kingdom Brunel and his great achievements are familiar to many, at least in this country. But far fewer are aware of the great creative partnership he formed with his father, Sir Marc Isambard Brunel.

Professor Ainsworth will explore the historical and technical background, the genetic imprint, to the ingenuity which was a hallmark of all they achieved.
