The Rotary Dragon Boat Festival is a well-established annual event organised by The Rotary Club of Abingdon Vesper. It is a charity fund raising event based on Dragon Boat Racing and is held on the River Thames at Rye Farm Meadow in Abingdon-on-Thames.
Although Dragon Boat racing is the main focus of the day for both competitors and spectators, there are lots of other things to keep people entertained. There are craft stalls, a funfair, a raffle, children’s entertainment, BBQ, tea tent, real ale beer tent…
Races usually start at around 10am and continue throughout the day, with the race finals and medal presentation ceremony happening around 4pm. Admission is free and car parking costs just £5 for the whole day. Please come along and support this fabulous fund-raising event.
