Dorchester Village Hall

Text Box: This fine old building was built in 1872 as the girls' and the infants' schools and was designed by no less an architect than Sir George Gilbert Scott.   It stands on the west side of Queens Street opposite the present day school.
Facilities include a spacious vaulted main hall, with smaller meeting rooms and a modern kitchen.

   The hall is used by many village societies and

organisations for meetings and social events (click

here for the events diary).

It is available for hire for private functions.

A Management Committee exists to preserve and

maintain the fabric of this historic building and to

encourage further events and bookings.
